The weather was fine when we headed down to the car from our 'level 5 home-sweet-home'.It was Tuesday night and I didn't feel like cooking. And since we are going to return the DVD's we rented from Speedy Video, Desa Pandan 3 days ago, we planned to have dinner at Sari Ratu Restaurant..which serves Authentic Nasi Padang! But as I drove halfway, the rain poured heavily ..with strong wind some more! Haih, luckily that I spare an umbrella inside the car..
It was around 9pm. A few table were occupied. As soon as we entered in, a young lady greeted us..in her Indonesian slang. It was the first time for both me and Ezal..eating Nasi Padang. Ohh well..the first thing you have to do is to select what to eat from the food counter.
Without looking at the menu and without knowing the price, these are what we have selected.(Is that's the way of how a nasi padang restaurant usually operated? because we still think that at least we should be notified on the price list) Anyway, these are what we had for the dinner:
1. Daging dendeng balado (RM 6.00)
2. Sayur Kailan (RM 4.00)
3. Ikan Merah Asam Pedas (RM 7.00)
4. Ayam Spesial (RM7.50)
5. Sambal Merah & Hijau (RM3.00)
6. Nasi Putih (RM 1.50) each
A plate of nasi padang like this will cost RM15.25 (without tax). Of all the food, I love the special chicken the most. Kailan was delicious. Asam pedas taste a bit different from our Malay asam pedas..this one is without 'daun kesum'. The beef was somehow not worth the price :p. as it was also a bit 'keras'.. and the sambal..what? RM3 for sambal..phew~.
Photos were all taken using my BB Camera phone. Unedited version..Not bad huh? ;)
