314: Mee Udang Tanjung Dawai, Kedah

Went to Tesco last night for our regular shopping and had Kluang Laksa (Laksa Johor) for dinner right after that. The taste was just average to me, not too bad not even so good neither but the Sarawak Laksa (that Ezal had) is maybe worth to try if we go there again.
I mean, the food are okay, please note that I am not complaining here.

Okay, out of the blue it somehow reminded me of Mee Udang Tanjung Dawai. Tak tahulah tang mana perkaitan dia tu, tiba² dok teghingat.hehe...

Of course they're plenty of restaurants serving Mee Udang, but to be honest I never ate one before. So happen, the first try of it was Mee Udang Tanjung Dawai. Trust me when I say, it was so good and fulfilling, not to mention the huge prawns too, at only RM15! Bliss~
I wonder if any other Mee Udang would ever taste just like that one.
The downside of it, I can't go there quite often. So, introduce  me some good places where I can have a very good Mee Udang please (craving mode) :) :)

310: Ramadan Mubarak!

It's already Ramadan and yet I haven't even write how's emir's aqiqah went off on last May 2013, though I was very very ambitious and super exicted to write about it after the day the event took place, I am still defeated by my own laziness in the end. Gosh, i really need a momentum to start blogging again!

Well for now,

Before I'm losing interest to write again, this is a recap of our Anniversary lunch treat which was also a 'postponed' event due to the loss of my husband's family member (arwah Mak Long) on 25 June 2013, a day before our Anniversary date. Few weeks after, followed by beloved late Mak Teh on 12 July 2013.

Al-fatihah..
May Allah place those beautiful souls among the righteous in the Hereafter. Ameen...

Here it is,
Our anniversary date at Las Vacas! Getting merrier with this little man :p

309: Mother's Day at Fullhouse Cafe

Oh here comes May.. we met once again, after the good one year, :)

What's so special about you May?

Well, a lot of things...not to mention all the days we have in this month, Voting Day, Mother's Day (which I'm going to tell you more right after this), Teacher's Day, Wedding Days (hehe...) and the most significant date in my life..no other than my son's birthday..Awww..=')

Macam sungguh-sungguh tak percaya..my little baby now is going 1!! (this shall be elaborated later after the aqiqah next week)

For the time being, before I missed to write more of the good things  happened recently, especially on the Mother's Day celebration (which I am now officially  celebrating it as a mother), I guess I better let all the pictures do the rest of the story telling part.

Oppss..
Saja nak highlight the part of 'officially being a mom' because last year I was still have a baby bump when being celebrated for it.

295: A lunch date @ Delicious, Jalan Tun Razak

Friend is someone who will always be there for you, lend you shoulders to cry on, will never let you down, listen to your whole devastation story and such when your ex-boyfriend breaks you heart, keep your secret safe and lift up your spirit whenever you feel down.
Deep down inside us, this is the kind of friend that we wish to have.(Finger crossed!)
Well, when a woman get married, the best friend that she might/would have is definitely her own husband. Undeniable! However, once in a while women just gotta spend some time with their girlfriends. Especially those who has been good friends since... forever.
I wonder if BFF will ever suits a man? Sounds a bit..err,not manly enough?? hehe...
Anyway,
These are the moments captured on my quick lunch date session at Delicious, Jalan Tun Razak with all these lovelies!!

279: Going 30 on the 30th...

I turned 30 recently on 30th September. The 3rd year I celebrated my birthday as a wife and the first year as a mom. A new mom in her 30's. Maybe it's quite late for a woman to be a mom in her 30's. As compared to my sister, she became a mom when she was 25th. By 30, she already has two kids. And now, she has four in the house. Bravo!! (camane nak kejar nih?) :p

Anyway..
When it comes to my Birthday, it's great to have a husband who is so toughtful that he would try to arrange a Birthday dinner treat  for me for the past two consecutive years. I wish this will last for the rest of our life together =D. (Hint to dear husband )..kohkoh

But then..
I must have been very busy catching up with life that I missed to write about those meaningful event in my life.
I thought maybe I could share some pictures here, just to be sure  they won't slip through my mind when I am not be able to recall lot of things later at my older age (provided that this blog has not been shut down) :p

Birthday Dinner 2010 at Sri Ayutthaya Restaurant, Wangsa Maju.
The most unforgettable food of all that we had on the day is the white rice. Incredibly good! I never eat a plain white rice as delicious as this one! Haha.. Once the waiter opened the rice cover (they came in a pot), the aroma is sooo wangi, I tell you. Not sure what kind of rice they are using. Beras Siam kot..but of course, good things come at a price. If I'm not mistaken, white rice per 1 pax serving is around RM4.

Despite the quite pricey food, everything in this restaurant is fantastic. From the interior, the service, the ambience, the food..almost perfect!! Sangat sesuai untuk makan malam romantik mahupun makan besar dengan keluarga. Love this.

And the Birthday Gift from hubby...♥

Birthday Dinner 2011.
A splendid candle light  dinner under the stars viewing the skyline of KL at PNB Darby Park. .
This one I still quite remember the dishes that we had for the night. I had Siakap 3 rasa while hubby had Jenahak Asam Pedas. Just so you know, this restaurants serves Classic Malay cuisine. Although the menu sounds so ordinary (as we usually order at TomYam Restaurant) the taste is undeniably extra-ordinary!. But again, you have to pay extra for eating on the loft and having view of Petronas Twin Tower, KLCC. This dish is about RM50++ per plate.

Crackers before the main dishes being served. Asparagus goreng belacan ..so crunchy and yummy!

And the Birthday Gift...♥♥

This year, there was no Birthday dinner, but I'm fine with that. (As long as Ezal didn't forget to wish me :p) To be the first greeted me a Happy Birthday wish, hubby woke me up in the middle of midnight with a bouquet of roses in his hand. As I opened my eyes, in the dim light of our bedroom-and still feeling drowsy, I thought hubby was handing Emir to me. Yelah kan, the bouquet silhoutte is just about Emir's size, that made me think hubby wanted me to change Emir's diaper ke apa..huhu

And the Birthday Gift.. ♥♥♥
An embroided handbag edition from Sembonia!!Woohoo =D

I'm thankful I have had such a wonderful Birthday throughout these 3 years. Hoping that this happiness will last and May Allah bless our little family..always :)
Embracing the fabulous 30's life ahead...

232: Sweet tooth Cravings!

I've been experiencing a sweet tooth cravings for the past few weeks...or maybe I should say since my early 3rd trimester phase.
These are what I had  to satisfy my sweet tooth cravings lately:
1. Classic Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream from Delicious
2. Lava cake from The Loaf
3. Chocolate Mud Pie with Ice Cream from Nando's
4, Kit kat bar stocked up at office for my daily supplement
5. Any other chocolate bars (will do) whenever the chocolate cravings attack :p

"Another well known old wives tale!!! Are you craving sweet foods like juice, fruits and chocolate? if so, old wives say that you could be having a girl. But if you’re craving sour or salty foods, then you could be having a boy. It’s also said that if you are having a boy, you will crave protein like meat and dairy. I have trouble believing this one because I think we’d be overrun by a population of females – we all love chocolate pregnant or not!"

Hmmm..could this sudden sweet tooth craving means that I'm carrying a baby girl? Looking from my cravings chart, which I've been observing since I knew that I'm pregnant, it seems like I've passed trough the phase of craving for meat and dairy. Yes, at one time (mostly during my second trimester),  I couldn't get enough of meat. Beef steak, beef burger, beef soup, meatball! all the beef base food. But, the last statement of the above are so true..that we women, are so in love with chocolate either pregnant or not :p

On my first trimester, I ate a lot of soup. Noodle soup, tomyam, beef soup, chicken soup and vege. soup. Generally, it was the stage when we lose weight due to our morning sickness and all other discomfort feelings. I think it was the most challenging phase as some food/ drinks that I used to love, out of sudden does not please my taste bud at all! especially coffee..I couldn't even stand it's aroma. (Couldn't stand the smell of shallot/onion & garlic too!)

But now,  I've gained back my appetite. All the nauseas and morning sickness are gone except for this heavier belly that I need to carry for another one and half month :)
Here are few pictures of myself ..growing 'healthier' at my week 32 :D
