195: My Ezal's Obsession

This is my husband's obsession. He'd been such a big fan for bread since..forever. And whenever it comes to an outing to  Pavilion, a coffeetime at The Loaf is a sure thing. Of his continuous addiction to bread, I couldn't forget a thing that he said during our chatting on some list of kitchen appliances to be bought  for entering new home during our early day married life.
"It's okay not to have any rice cooker, the utmost important is to have a toaster!"
What the..:p

194: Nasi Lemak Mali's Corner

If you are staying in the vicinitiy of Taman Melati or visiting that area often, Nasi Lemak Mali located at Jalan Malinja,Taman Bunga Raya would not be something new for you as it is for me.
Since the first time I went there in year 2003 after our design subject with some of my studio-mates (that was during my Architecture degree in IIUM,Gombak), I had fall in love with the taste of their nasi lemak ayam and char-kuey-teow.
Two things that made me always coming back for more are the  sambal and chicken. Seriously, the sambal add extra kicking to the whole taste and it had never change since the first time I remembered trying it.

Aside the great nasi lemak, char kuey teow is their another signature menu. People who are queuing for char kuey teow is always way longer than nasi lemak merely because they have to cook at instance compared to the ready prepared nasi lemak. But most of us are always willing to stand the long queu because it's worth the waiting!
Despite of their street hawker style (open air dining tables without proper cover unless when it's rain, they would have this extendable metal decking roof), the customer wouldn't care of that because the food is really tempting. Especially nasi lemak, they are unbeatable! From what I saw the numbers of customers are keep increasing by the years.

What triggers me to write about this was due to Ezal's craving for nasi lemak Mali @ Taman Bunga Raya last two nights. As it has been quite a while since the last time we went there, I was a bit excited to go. But, the fact that it was Annissa's last episode airing on TV3 that night, we decided to go-off after 11pm. All the way from Taman Maluri to Taman Bunga Raya just to satisfy our tastebud in almost midnight hour.
Somehow, as we reached Jalan Malinja, the stall was not there, the space seems like has been cleared up. As we slowed down, a guy was signalling us by pointing towards the right side. I believe he was trying to tell us to go to the other branch at Mali's Corner, Danau Kota. Finally, we made our way to Platinum Walk, in case some of you are not familiar with the area, it was a shop lots which is near to the uptown (late night market) in Danau Kota.
With this I declare that I'd been a loyal customer of Nasi Lemak Mali for 8 years. To see how their business expand, from a street stall to a 3 shop lots (including the upper stairs of Mali's corner) restaurant, really inspiring one!

p/s: are you hungry now?? ;)

192: Preparing Dinner

My father and husband have something in common. They both agreed that I am 'undefeated chef' in preparing 'maggi sup/ goreng'. Haha..okay, I may take that as a compliment although it may somehow says that I am not a versatile cook who able to do many kind of traditional Malay dishes as my mom and other mommies do.
Somehow, this is what I prepared for our dinner last night. Mushroom with mussel in oyster sauce and deep fried chicken wing, crispy..like we always love it!
Ermm, not to forget the sardines in tomato sauce which I has improvised a bit..following my mom's way :p. I know, even a younger girl could prepare canned sardines. But hey, who agreed that sardines is all time favorite ?? Yeah, we are in the same boat!! Plus the fact that it's easy-to-prepare, make it a must list in our groceries shopping list :)
The bottom line is,
I am not a master in cooking but I am still learning..

191: Arsenal Vs. Malaysia Live @ Bukit Jalil Stadium

I was updating in may FB status earlier before went off for the Malaysia Vs. Arsenal friendly match at Bukit Jalil.."jom pakai baju kuning pergi stadium!!". No, it's not BERSIH campaign. Bersih issue is not 'in' anymore. Now we are talking about football.Cheers!!
For all football fans, this is their most awaited moment. As  the three famous football club; Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsa is having their Asia Tour in Malaysia, playing in our very own stadium, I'm sure this is something not to be missed. I myself, even though I am not that so called a football maniac, but being in the stadium, among all the crowds watching the football match live,  you could shout like crazry!! really an awesome experience!!
Seated in the blue zone, this is the view that we had.
The arrival of players into the field. Harimau Malaya in Yellow and Arsenal in their new (is it new?coz i always see the red) jersey. This time is dark and light blue with a splash of green.
Please don't only blame the supporters for wearing Arsenal and shouted for Arsenal. Just  look at the photographers also, who waited at Arsenal's goal expecting to get stunning shot from  strikers. Only less than five photographers are waiting at Malaysia's goal..from my observation.
This is the final results. Arsenal defeated  Malaysia by 4-0. The first goal was penalty kick by Ramsey at minute 4. As early as that! That's the beauty of football..we could never expect when to scream that G-words right? :p Somehow, Ezal managed to get that one recorded:
The other 3 goals were scored by Walcott at minutes 37, Vela at minutes 59 and Rosicky at minutes 90.
Watching football was never been exciting as this one. Thank you hubby, for such experience. Should take me to watch next World Cup.. live! :p

190: Arsenal-Malaysia Friendly Match

I was tempted to write about yesterday's match right after I came back from Bukit Jalil's stadium Yet, tired leg and sleepy eyes demands a quality good rest that stopped me from doing so. Okay, I promise will write more about that later today..but for now, this is a short clip for the (Arsenal) supporters' reaction before the match started. As expected, most of the audience were wearing Arsenal jersey (including Ezal, absolutely)~~WAVE everybody!!!

189: Weekend Stories

Despite the Bersih Campaign taken place on Saturday, I had not much things happening except for attending relative's wedding and sister-in-law's housewarming on Sunday.
Oh yeah..look at this tempting golden yellowish Durian IOI bought by Abg. Zai (drooling now..) Good one ..pandai pilih durian ;)
Zara giving her cutest pose with the colourful retro frame glasses and yellow dress at her new study desk. And that look..sangat comel :)
With Zara ..and Noh Daniel (confident betul je eja nama ni), kak Ayu's chubby little boy. I love to take pictures with small kids & babies, but the downside of it, those pictures will reveal all my skin imperfections..dang >.<
The lovely organiser in pinkish scarf..sister in law; kak Nureza.

Earlier on the same day, right after attended wedding reception I passed over the gift from my niece Zara Eryna to my other niece Zara Ameera . Okay, don't get confused by their names ;)
Speaking of the present, Hakeem is obviously the most excited to unwrapped the gift. Berebut with his sister; Nisreen.
As the gift revealed..Hakeem screamed "Woww..toys!!". We knew exactly what is in his mind..To play it first!! before her little sister Zara Ameera who definitely could not understand how to play with this Fisher Price Stacking Action Blocks as she hasn't reach that 6 months year old..yet. Haha =)
A bunch of thanks  to Kak Nureza & Abg. Zai for the food especially for pulut durian..first attempt to eat pulut + santan and durian. The taste is acceptable, quite yummy indeed :)

187: Catching Up for Conference and Movie

Last Saturday was my first time watching a midnight movie with hubby, definitely due to Transformers 3's ticket is selling like hot cakes during the day.

The fact that I have been in KLCC since late afternoon attending DATUM, the yearly architectural event organised by Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM)..
The fact that Ezal could not get any tickets at GSC Pavilion on the same day..
The fact that Citibank card holders are eligible for rm10 flat price movie ticket at TGV till the promotion ended which I don't know when..

All these facts has made us spend another two hours inside the car at basement parking (merely to watch transformers at 12.30am) after our late dinner. Killing time by reading books, newspaper, building materials catalogues & brochures I collected from Archidex exhibition earlier..

The midnight movie was tend to be lesser people compared to the day (that was what i expected) but hey, it was  more likely as a mid afternooon movie, though. Queues at the food counter were long, even it was only Transformers 3 screening. Haih.. city people never sleep I would say huh?

Adding 'excitement' to the crowd, the promised screening at 12.30 midnight was suddenly delayed to another 15minutes due to some technical matters. (screen projector pun dah exhausted, non-stop showtime dari pagi sampai tengah malam).

Finally, we were there.. watching the big screen at 1.00 am, my first time midnight movie ever for Transformers 3: Dark of The Moon ;)

Attending the architecture conference earlier in the comfortable casual outfit:
Leopard print scarf   l   Sleveless top by Topshop   l   Long Cardigan by Miss Selfridge
Woven belt by Zara    Pleated pants by Seed   l   Hobo bag by U.S Polo Assn.
